DECEMBER 24 (FRIDAY): ARRIVE COCHIN (KOCHI)
Kochi is the commercial capital and the most cosmopolitan city of Kerala. Also known as the Queen of the Arabian Sea, Kochi has one of the finest natural harbours in the world. Starting from the Dutch, Portuguese and the British, Kochi was the site of the first European colonial settlements in India.

DECEMBER 25 (SATURDAY): DAY IN KOCHI
Today, enjoy a city tour of Kochi, visiting the Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Fort Cochin, St. Francis Church and Chinese fishing nets.

Enjoy a spectacular Kathakali dance performance in the evening. Kathakali is one of the oldest classical dance forms of India. The artists dressed in elaborate costumes with vividly painted faces enact stories from Ramayana and Mahabharata through this dance form.

DECEMBER 26 (SUNDAY): KOCHI TO MUNNAR
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Munnar, one of the most popular hill resorts of south India. Under the British Raj, Munnar was popularly called 'Switzerland of India\' for its natural surroundings and cool climate. The entire area is occupied by thick forests and tea estates. The specialty of Munnar is jungle honey, tea and a rare flower 'Neela Kurunji' which blooms once in 12 years.

This afternoon, visit a local tea plantation and the Tata Tea Museum to learn about the cultivation and processing of a variety of Indian teas.

DECEMBER 27 (MONDAY): MUNNAR TO PERIYAR
This morning, embark on a scenic drive to Periyar, the wildlife and spice plantation hub of Kerala. Upon arrival in Periyar, check in to your hotel and freshen up.
Rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities. Overnight stay at hotel

DECEMBER 28 (TUESDAY): DAY IN PERIYAR
Enjoy an early morning visit to the Periyar Wildlife sanctuary, one of the finest elephant reserves of south India. Take a boat cruise on the serene Lake Periyar, spotting migratory birds and local wildlife around the lake.

This afternoon, take a spice plantation tour and learn about the mystery and history of Indian spices. You also get the opportunity to shop for fragrant spices at a local market.

DECEMBER 29 (WEDNESDAY): PERIYAR TO ALLEPPEY (HOUSEBOAT)
After an early breakfast, drive to Alleppey. Upon arrival in Alleppey, board your houseboat and enjoy a cruise through the backwaters.

Kerala backwaters consist of a complex network of lagoons, lakes, & canals and are best experienced while slowly rowing down the labyrinth of canals in a traditional thatch-roofed houseboat, known as \'Kettuvallam\'. See life on the banks, lush green rice fields, and coconut groves with occasional temple or church as you cruise through the canals. Enjoy the special Kerala style meals prepared by your chef on board. Overnight stay at houseboat.

DECEMBER 30 (THURSDAY): ALLEPPEY TO KUMARAKOM After breakfast, alight your houseboat at Kumarakom, a coastal town in the backwaters of Kerala. Upon arrival in Kumarakom, check in to your hotel.
Rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities

DECEMBER 31 (FRIDAY): KUMARAKOM TO KOVALAM
After breakfast drive to Kovalam, the beach paradise of Kerala. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel. This evening enjoy New Year eve celebrations at your hotel

JANUARY 01 (SATURDAY): DAY IN KOVALAM
The beautiful beaches of Kovalam are still far from being commercialized or packed with tourists. Today, enjoy a day at leisure to relax and unwind by the tranquil beaches of Kovalam or enjoy the various facilities offered by your hotel.

JANUARY 02 (SUNDAY): KOVALAM TO TRIVANDRUM AIRPORT
After breakfast, transfer to Trivandrum airport for your flight for onward destination. Travelite (India) services terminate at Delhi.
